Patrick joined them on their way back up around step 400.

On our way into the mine. When we were in it was 38 degrees. That was because we were 250 ft underground beneath an underground river. Once we found that out Patrick and Shaun decided it was time to leave.
Outside the mine was more like 95 degrees.
